French armies: the Chief of Staff speaks with Blaise Compaoré.
The President of Burkina Faso has granted a hearing this Thursday, April 5, 2012 to Chief of Staff of the French Armies (CEMA), Admiral Edouard Guillaud.
This five-star officer, accompanied by a strong delegation said, emerging from his meeting with the President of Burkina Faso, that his visit comes within the framework of bilateral contacts that France has with Burkina Faso.
Although this trip was planned a long time, the question of the Malian crisis was still invited to the debate. According to former Chief of Staff of the President SARKOZY, he was able to enjoy the experience of the President of Burkina Faso in this thorny issue.
He has also magnified the cooperation between Burkina Faso and France in the military. Burkinabe officers benefit from the expertise through their French military training schools in France and elsewhere. Actions also extend cooperation in the field of mechanics and logistics.
During this interview, the President of Burkina Faso raised to the rank of Admiral GUILLAUD Commander of the National Order. He, in turn, has awarded General Honore Nabéré Traore, Chief of General Staff of Armed Burkina Faso. It was an Officer of the French Legion of Honor.
